My career in the travel industry began over 15 years ago, when I decided to follow my passion for travel by studying a BTEC National Diploma in Travel and Tourism. This lead to my early dream of working as a Travel Agent and I haven't looked back since. I enjoyed my role of selling wonderful holiday experiences for 4 years before deciding to broaden my horizons with a gap year, I went backpacking and working around the Far East, Australia and New Zealand. It was upon my return from this trip that I first had the opportunity to join Fred Olsen Travel. I initially started in the cruise sales department and with a keen interest in airfares and ticketing. I later transferred to Fred. Olsen Business Travel. After three years in this role, I took a new opportunity to work on board Fred Olsen's cruise ships in the tours department, this turned into a fantastic 5 year venture taking me around the world helping guests to explore countless worldwide ports of calls. Over the years I gained vast cruise, destination and customer relation experience and eventually I had the opportunity to return a shore side career back at Fred. Olsen Travel. I worked for a short time in the River Cruise Department then most recently I have rejoined the team at Fred Olsen Business Travel, where I have picked up from where I left, specialising in Marine travel and coordinating flights for the crew members of Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines.
Favourite Destination - I am very lucky to have travelled to over 70 countries so far which makes choosing one favourite very difficult, some of my most memorable places visited so far include Sri Lanka and Vietnam for their inspiring cultures, Madagascar for wild encounters with lemurs, swimming with stingrays in French Polynesia, cruising amongst giant icebergs in Greenland, walking in the footsteps of Darwin in the Galapagos Islands, and experiencing the mighty Iguassu Falls from both sides of Brazil and Argentina.
